What are the common types of fabrics

Fabric is the material used to make clothing. As one of the three elements of clothing, fabrics can not only interpret the style and characteristics of clothing, but also directly influence the performance effect of clothing colors and shapes.

(1) Woven Fabric

Also called woven fabric, it is a fabric formed by weaving warp yarns and weft yarns perpendicular to each other. Its basic structure has three types: plain, twill and satin weave. Different woven fabrics are also composed of these three basic organizations and their varied organizations. Mainly include Chiffon, Oxford, Denim, Twill, Flannel, Damask, etc.

(2) Knitted Fabric

Knitting needles are used to form loops of yarn or filaments, and then the loops are stringed together. Due to the characteristics of the loop structure of knitted fabrics, the amount of yarn stored per unit length is large, so most of them have good elasticity. Knitted fabrics are divided into single-sided and double-sided. Mainly include single jersey (Single Jersey), velour (velour), birdeyes (birdeyes), mesh cloth (mersh fishnet) and so on.
